NOTA series
Our USB3 compact camera
NOTA is the Alkeria area scan compact camera, with USB3 interface, designed to deliver top performance and flexibility.
The little heir of Alkeria high-end cameras, NOTA, draws on twenty years of camera design expertise to offer superior image quality. It features a wide range of high-performance global-shutter sensors, packed into a solid, compact, and cost-effective form factor.
NOTA is the perfect combination between the well-proven platform of the single USB3 cameras of CELERA One, with extreme flexibility and quick system integration for those applications requiring nothing but the highest quality and extreme speed, and the affordability, ultracompact, and easy-to-integrate features of board-level cameras of ARIA series. Indeed, NOTA is available both with a complete housing machined out of a solid block of aluminum alloys and in a board-level format.
NOTA cameras are equipped with a USB3 interface, compact dimensions, and a rugged design, making them suitable for the most demanding applications such as: automated optical inspection, high-performance sorting systems, industrial metrology, microscopy, medical diagnostics, embedded vision, and machine vision.
Powered directly by the USB3 bus, NOTA cameras eliminate the need for external power adapters. USB3 provides the most cost-effective and widespread interface, pushing speed performances to the top level.
Versatile I/O
NOTA provides a versatile I/O interface to control external devices such as strobe lights, encoders, etc.: 3 (LV-CMOS, LV-TTL), plus 1 input line and 1 output line (both +24VDC optoisolated). Its multipurpose I/O connector provides user I/O, line/frame triggering, and a direct encoder interface.
Powerful on-board image processing
NOTA provides powerful onboard user-controlled image processing: color-independent LUTs, gamma correction, white balance, brightness, contrast, sharpness, and saturation.
Driver and Software
NOTA is GenICam GenTL compliant and comes with a comprehensive SDK for Windows and Linux, supporting all major programming languages such as Python, C#, VB, and C++ in the Visual Studio or QT environments.
Our Software Development Kit, provided with NOTA cameras, is fully compatible with Cognex VisionPro, MVTech Halcon, NI LabView, and other major machine vision software for industrial applications. It can also be used with embedded computing platforms such as Jetson Nano, Jetson Orin, and Raspberry.
Accessories
NOTA is available as standard in full housing format with a C-mount lens adapter, and also in board level format without any lens adapter.

USB3 interface
With a USB3 interface, NOTA provides high performance and ease of use in a cost-effective solution. Up to 5 Gbps USB3 interface allows easy interface to your PC, eliminating expensive frame grabbers and bulky cables.
Compact and flexible design
Small, light, rugged aluminum alloys, and machined high precision case, allows maximum installation flexibility even in space-constrained environments. Available as standard in full housing format with C-mount lens adapter or in board level format.
Fast global-shutter CMOS technology
Wide range of SONY Pregius™ CMOS sensors allow a frame rate of up to 161 fps even at full resolution.
Onboard image pre-processing
Like all Alkeria cameras, even the compact, flexible and convenient NOTA performs all of its image pre-processing on board without loading your CPU with heavy calculations.
Smart Triggering
With the NOTA series, users can choose from a long list of triggering mechanisms. The acquisition can be driven by I/O levels, edges, and encoder position. Furthermore, the frequency of triggering signals can be internally converted to solve even the most challenging problems.
Versatile I/O
With 1 optoisolated input and output and 3 general purpose I/O, the NOTA series offers unprecedented flexibility for interfacing to outer world signals: direct encoder readout, serial communication, and strobed lighting have never been so easy.
Triple LUTs
Independent LUTs (one for each color) allow easy color threshold, filtering, and calibration for color-critical applications.
