Line scan SWIR USB3 cameras

NECTA S, the SWIR line-scan model in the NECTA camera family, is capable of high-resolution acquisition in short-wave infrared bandwidth, ranging from 950 to 1700 nm. This new SWIR camera can reach up to 40 kHz line rate with a 14-bit A/D converter: its high-speed USB3 interface and advanced I/O, together with a compact and rugged aluminum case, make NECTA S suitable for the most demanding machine vision applications.

Powered directly by the USB3 bus, eliminating the need for external power adapters. USB 3.0 provides the most cost-effective and widespread interface, pushing speed performances to the top.

Sharing the robust platform of NECTA line-scan cameras, this camera is specifically designed for those applications where infrared vision is crucial.

Powerful onboard image processing

NECTA S provides powerful onboard user-controlled image processing: AOI, LUT, FPN (DSNU and PRNU), gamma correction, black level offset calibration, and frame control up to 65,000 lines.

Versatile I/O

NECTA provides a versatile I/O interface to control external devices such as strobe lights, encoders, etc. 2 input lines with a direct encoder interface, 2 output lines, and 1 input/output (RS422, RS644 LVDS, LVTTL). Its multipurpose I/O connector provides user I/O, line/frame triggering, and a direct encoder interface.
NECTA S new I/O interface now features 24 VDC-tolerant inputs and a selectable 3,3 V / 5,0 V power supply for external devices (e.g., encoder).

Driver and Software

NECTA S is GenICam GenTL compliant and comes with a comprehensive SDK for Windows and Linux, supporting all major programming languages such as Python, C#, VB, and C++ in the Visual Studio or QT environments.
Our Software Development Kit, provided with NECTA S cameras, is fully compatible with Cognex VisionPro, MVTech Halcon, NI LabView, and other major machine vision software for industrial applications. It can also be used with embedded computing platforms such as Jetson Nano, Jetson Orin, and Raspberry.

Features

usb connettoreInGaAs technology

NECTA S mounts InGaAs SWIR sensors, offering up to 1024 pixels resolution and a 40 kHz rate through a 14-bit ADC.

usb connettoreSWIR

Working from 950 to 1700 nm, NECTA S can detect elements that are invisible to the human eye. SWIR imaging can be useful to see through opaque materials like plastic or silicon, to reveal water, moisture, or different chemical elements, and to see through fog, smoke, and dust.

usb connettoreUSB3 interface

Up to 5 Gbps, USB3 interface allows easy interface to your PC, eliminating expensive frame grabbers and bulky cables while keeping the highest performance.

tinyTiny rugged design

A small, ultra-lightweight, rugged aluminum machined high precision case allows maximum installation flexibility even in space-constrained environments.

ioVersatile I/O

With 2 inputs, 2 outputs and 1 bidirectional I/O, the NECTA S series offers unprecedented flexibility for interfacing to outer world signals: line/frame triggering, direct encoder readout, and strobed lighting have never been so easy.

smartDedicated lens adapter

Our C-mount and F-mount lens adapters are specifically built to fit NECTA S; they give our customers the perfect flexibility in choosing the best optics for their applications.
